The Black Caucus Foundation of Michigan considers the provision of exposure to careers in engineering,
design and construction a life skill and has made it part of its School-based Adolescent Development
Programming; which includes Behavioral Health Life Skills, Community Violence Intervention
Engagement, Mentoring and Career Coaching. Pictured is a “hands-on” heavy equipment exercise
facilitated by Operating Engineers 324, Chairman Stallworth discussing the value of the program with
Michigan Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson, and a Brick Layers & Allied Craft Unions “entry craft”
exercise.
