Who we serve

The Black Caucus Foundation Adolescent Development Programs provide a full range of healthly lifestyle and positive life pursuit opportunties for Detroit students, and minority and disadvantaged childre throughout Michigan. Through school-based, after school and summer programing the Black Caucus Foundation of Michigan exposes children to decision-making and resilience skills to assist with their complex navigation through the choices, experiences, challenges, dangers and obstacles of adolescence. Through the use of evidence-based life skill modules, and culturally competant faciliation; the Black Caucus Foundation serves families with school-aged children find paths to healthy lives through programing that ranges from “Navigation to Success” to “Bridges to Work, Home Ownership and Entrepreneurship”. Annually the adolescent development programming reaches 5,000 or more children, of which at least 800 matriculate to a level where they qualify to attend the Annual Construction Science Expo.
