What We Do

The Black Caucus Foundation of Michigan is a public policy research, advocacy and direct service nonprofit organization committed to the creation and maintenance and improvement of strategies and initiatives that improve the opportunity, life quality and circumstnces of minority and disadvantaged populations.  Founded in 1985, the Black Caucus Foundation has been instumental in design and implementaiton local, state and federal policy intitiaves to address gaps in service, in-equity and laddersof of opportunity for African Americans that have ultimately been good for all segments of the nation.  The Annual Construction Science Expo is an example of how the Black Caucus Foundation forms collaborations that solve an employer problem, community equity problem and broader societal wage problem by creating and providing employer access to a skilled and diverse drug free employment pool.   By formulating sound pograms and policies in collaboration with allies and stakeholders, the Black Caucus Foundation continues it legacy as a life quality change agent.
